The watch looks to be all original. Condition is not the greatest, but radium tends to degrade dials and hands over 80 years.

Price is reasonable, not too high or too low. It will likely require a service at some point.

Hope this helps,

Thank you for your comment. One of the reasons I bought it was because the seller mentioned it is fully serviced and oiled. so I thought It will be relief for at least 5 years due I think it will need service soon, radium tends to degrade dials and hands over 80 years (I am sorry but I do not understand this point)

Looks like you did ok cool watch
Thank you so much, so you believe it is fair and condition is good, the seller mentioned it is fully serviced and oiled so I though that would be a relief for years to come before service hassle

Well condition not in top form but imo it’s nice enough to wear and enjoy. It’s tricky to when sellers say “serviced”. Is their proof of it?

Your watch is from the 1940’s and has its original radium dial. That means it is still radioactive (even though it no longer glows in the dark). The radiation, over time, will affect the original lacquer on the dial. This is what causes the uneven toning that you see.

Thank you so much. I have searched and compared similar watches. I found a similar watch, but the color is different. Can you help me to understand? What is the difference? Does the seller of the photo below reprint it and now it safe to wear or what as I did not get it, why it surface of the watch shiny and white or the radiation does not affect lacquer on the dial.

That one is repainted, IMO.

Because the radium was taken off and new lume was painted on. So it is no longer original like yours.

I think the Swiss is OK. Just distorted by the crystal.

I believe the second one to be refinished, not just re-lumed. Here's an original, U.S. market version that I own:

Thank you, Dan. I would like to hear your opinion on the watch I bought. One of the points is the seller mentioned it was fully serviced and oiled, but tbh, there's no proof other than the seller's word. What do you think about the watch's legitimacy and service condition from your experience?
