Starting new thread.......carry over from existing thread on Black dial connies..........Black to be (168.005).

Update - I asked the seller(a London based retailer) about this watch over polishing, text brightness and requested more images. Got a snotty email back........and then no rely to my subsequent email.

Notching it up to a lucky escape......

What! That case should look like this...

    Wrist Shot, 06.JPG

The watch in the OP has been polished to kingdom come and lost any resemblance to it's original shape! And if I'm not mistaken is this also a redial as well.:(

    Not offensive traf
For Connie lovers an over polished case is a big no no
The dog leg lug Connies are really lovely when they have super sharp edges
It should look something like this

    Thanks traf
At the risk of sounding like an over proud father it's even better in person
But if you really want to bring some joy into your life look up the show your Constellation thread
There are Connies on there that only dreams are made of - the guys on this forum have some tremendous watches

while the first watch may have been "over polished " and had the dial redone, it is still a very beautiful watch IMO. I would be very happy to wear it, even in this non-original condition. I am a wearer, not a collector or an investor/seller, so I suppose this is the difference.

...wearer here also so somewhat agree Ravin....

I got a 18k 168.018 564 and wear it every day. Even though I am a wearer I want what I am wearing to be as original as I can find. I don't think anyone I meet on the street would know if it is a Quartz or Auto movement or a redial but I would ::screwloose::. When I see here examples of what original condition looks like side by side with a re-dial the original is much better. So, I am happy to hold on as long as it takes to find the right black dial for me......also it annoys me to see these sellers trying to con buyers with condition reports that are false.

A big  to those passing on their knowledge and advice ......

That's so sharp you could cut tomatoes with it.

I think it's simple - those questions call you out as a person who's not just going to buy it right away for the asking price.

May be a nice watch in your eyes and nothing wrong with that , but they want the same price as a unpolished and un-Redialed watch. Buy it for £1600 and lucky to get £200 the minute you leave the store / open box.

Most here are wearer,s so it's not a wearer v collector thing.
    it's a polish,redial and rip-off v decent price, original thing.

This has just come on ebay for £1500. Looks nice but something strange......what do you think........

Seems like the dial looks smaller than the case......maybe it is just the images

Yea, all the hands are definitely wrong as they are too long. They should not go over the 'seconds markers'. And the T swiss made T is really suspect. A possible redial.
