I just copied/pasted lol.
It links to driver/team bios. But not sure why some are linked and others are not.
I wanted to get this thread off the ground early so there is no crossover with the old one.

The sooner we can start arguing about 2022, the better!

Should provide 3 genuine challengers next season. George will fly in that Mighty Merc

I'm definitely excited to see what he can do!

Curious about Russell next year. Will he play the wingman. We saw the Hamilton/Rosberg tension unfold.

I hope he'll treat it the way Moss worked with Fangio. Follow as closely as possible and learn. Then when you're in a different team the race is on.

Going in, I think Merc seems to have an advantage in both technology and development and there is no clear #2.

With that said, it's still wide open. With the new spec, any team could find the magic.

I don’t see George playing wingman, but equally I don’t see him being a Nico, I expect GR to challenge for wins which will be good for MB, not sure who will win the WDC in 2022 but I do expect MB to clear up in the constructors championship. LH & GR will knock spots of MV & SP, the issue maybe GR taking points off of LH and letting MV build a championship lead. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.

Speaking of tires, do you remember when some genius thought it was a good idea to switch to grooved tires? ::facepalm1::

We'll get used to them. They look so weird now
I like them, the 13s were weird for so long. Of course on narrower tyres and 80% (?) profiles they were fine.

Still better than when there where pitstops for refuelling but tires had to last the whole race in '05.

When Jim Clark was racing (photo immediately above) he could make the tyres last for 4 races. No-one else could! He would have liked Chapman to have added an extra gallon of fuel for several races though....

Yes from one point of view you are right. They still had that retro feel, to my eyes and sences at least, of a long gone era though, just like when you see an Escort Mk1/2 or a Bertone 105 with those 13''s deep dish wheels they used to fit once upon a time. Now I see an Escort with 17'' wheels 😁 I must recalibrate my mind

So, is Lewis going to retire?
I have not been keeping up on the news too much, because I don't really care, but I saw 2 articles this morning - neither of which I actually read - but one was that Lewis and Mercedes want Massi to be fired and the other was Ricciardo being tipped as a contender for Hamilton's replacement if he does retire.
So, what do we think? I honestly would not be surprised either way if he retires or not.
I could see him rage quitting after what happened, or I could also see him not wanting to quit before at least trying to win the 8th title.

Yea I’ve seen that too, if it is the case I sincerely hope the FIA tell them to get lost and gets to be remembered for quitting due to not being able to sack the referee. At this point I hope it is just a rumour and nothing more.
