Long time lurker, first time poster 馃槈

I find myself really drawn to this watch with the combo of the Pontife hands and the salmon dial, but the dial's been refurbished... I know it ultimately come's down to personal preference (and relative price), but what do yall think of this one? Especially interested in any feedback re/ the quality of the refurb (e.g., is this what this watch would have looked (close) like back in 1943?

Thanks!

Can't say much from one crappy sideways photo, case has surely seen better days though.

I don't believe the hands are original to the watch (especially the hour hand, that you seem to like).

About the dial, I've seen worse but it's not gonna fool anyone. The pictures aren't really clear enough to judge the print quality, but at least the subdial doesn't look right.

Case also looks overpolished.

I would generally stay away unless it was very very cheap (which it probably isn't 馃榾).

Hands are mismatched and as noted at least one likely isn't original to the watch.

The dial is refinished the hands do not match and they're even different colours! The pontife hand appears to be an original omega hand which in itself is quite collectible (whether it was original on this watch is hard to say - because the dial is no longer a point of reference). Generally with so many odd parts one can assume it's a mismatch of parts entirely and very little would be original. If it were say $500 I'd consider it because it's, anymore I'd walk away.
