I recently purchased a 14270 (99/00), I bought it from Subdial who assessed and pressure tested the watch. Whilst I have no reason to doubt them I wanted to have it pressure tested myself for peace of mind. The ADs all said they don't do it and suggested asking the RSC in St James (London). I phoned them up and they said they only pressure test as part of a service which costs £1050. I also asked Steven Hale who also said it's only part of a service albeit they charge £650.

Is there anywhere in London/Essex that I can have my watch pressure tested?

That's strange that your local Rolex AD won't pressure test it for you. Two of the Rolex ADs in my area (USA) have pressured tested my Rolex watches at no charge. Only takes about 5 or 6 minutes once they put it in the machine.
For my non Rolex watches there are a couple independent watchmakers in my area and they charge $10-$25 (USD) to pressure test. I'm sure in a large metro area like London you can find a watchmaker or shop that will test it for you, for a reasonable price. Good luck.

That's strange that your local Rolex AD won't pressure test it for you.

Like the OP, my Rolex AD (Northern California) doesn’t pressure test either.

You can buy a cheap pressure tester for about $100 these days. Maybe give that a shot. Then you can test whenever you want to.

Do you have a link or description? Wet or dry pressure?
I looked into getting a dry pressure tester earlier this year and it was really expensive (north of $700 USD, IIRC).

I wouldn't risk a Rolex on a wet tester. They aren't that capable.

Edit: I guess I should clarify; the wet tester isn't that capable. It's highly dependent on reading skill. And, a leak that won't show up in the several seconds you have to observe can show up on an hour-long dive.

Depending on model, the Rolex should be capable.
