Sorry, have to put this up front: I am only interested in contact from members in good standing with a history on this forum. Not interested in solicitation from third parties, dealers or passersby. Forgive me if I don't respond to those inquires now that I've asked not to have them.

    ---

This is simple. I am looking for a 1655 with a good, thick case and a warm, patinated dial without defects. I am flexible on the exact year and dial mark – but for me it's the warm, aged lume reacting to the orange hand that really bring this together visually.

The following image represents this well, and it's a key desire in this quest, so I'll let it do the talking.

To be clear, I am exclusively looking for dial markers that have aged into a warm, sandy yellow or orange color, also nicely embodied by this image.

Would consider trading in, up or against with a 1969/70 1016 and/or a pristine 145.022.74 Speedmaster with a very nice, warm patina ...and/or cash in some configuration or arrangement. But all cash is also fine, for the right piece!

I will bump this every month or so. I'm expecting it to take a while. Thanks for reading, and never stop Explorering.

Indeed, this and the speedy pro, one of my best friends had an SMP and the other inherited an awesome 1655 from his dad...
