    hi need some help please, just bought this from eBay. Fearing now it could possibly be a Franken!!! Any information would be much appreciated

    Its a Seamaster Cosmic with an incorrectly refinished dial and a fake strap.

    Return it if you can.

    Many thanks guys, just new their was something wrong and the more I kept digging I was convinced it wasn’t right!

    Thanks, I’ll try and get info from serial number when it arrives and maybe look for a dial to convert back in the future. Thanks for all your help and info

    Thanks for being so courteous, many aren't.

    You have paid the "noob" tax and you're definitely not alone.
    If the seller listed this as original and correct, you should have grounds for return. Ebay and the credit card companies can be friends.
    If not, watch out for a dial and chuckle when you wear it!

    thanks yes will join you guys, certainly learnt my lesson!! Could quite easily become a regular on here now I have a “noob” under my belt lol

    In addition to looking on eBay.com for a replacement dial, I’d suggest keeping an eye out for listings on eBay.de or eBay.at - shipping costs shouldn’t be very high for a small parcel. The German translation for ‘dial’ is ‘zifferblatt’
