    Dear all,

I've got first dibs on this watch from my Italian source, or should I say "enabler". Looks like a 30 CH ... I've asked for a better movement shot. Have not discussed a number yet. Looks really good to my eye. Seller says its from the 50's. First he shows me a linen dial Compax which I let slip then changed my mind ... too late... now this!

    Thoughts?

    Thanks as always.

    Larry

Not entirely certain about that chronograph seconds hand but otherwise this looks like a gorgeous example of a first series 30CH. Here is a great reference: http://orologi.forumfree.it/?t=59209040

Here is a another 30CH dial to compare. This one is from 1956 (ref. unknown). And below is a ref. 5967 with similar subdial hands.

Looks like the MH Chrono hands could use a polish but this looks right. Thanks. I can't let this one go.

Consolation price for not being able to get the UG back. More excited about this one. I have plenty of nice old steel Chrono's .

Gold is grossly underrated in my view. This piece is a real stunner.

It's really amazing what you can buy in gold right now. I wear em with polo shirts openly and without shame. In SS this would be double I'd bet.

Could I ask you gents to please stop raving about this or that "underrated" type of watch?
If you say it enough then you will succeed in causing prices to rise.
The word "underrated" is much worse and damaging than the word "calatrava" used with the wrong brand, to be quite frank.
Other than that, I don't know squat about these chronographs but this one looks very nice.

Yeah, she's right. And I don't know why you guys are falsely using that label on such a hideous, overpriced, overrated watch with an unimpressive movement.
