Hi everyone!
Im having a hard time identifying this watch... I'm a newbie but I believe it has gold chatons and might be from the 1908 according to the serial number. Unfortunately the only person that could tell me anything about this watch has died about 8 years ago. Also, would anyone be able to tell me if this watch has any more than just sentimental value?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Ischium and welcome.

The movement looks like one of those of a pocket watch, and the serial number does date it to 1906, which makes it impossible to be a wrist watch, specially with those lugs, which look like they belong to a case from the second half of the century.

Also, the dial has been unfortunately very poorly repainted.

If it belonged to someone dear to you, maybe you can take it to a watchmaker and have it serviced, but it has no collectible value.

Best wishes,

Rudi
