The pandenmic gives us some time to think about the things we have. So I realized that I have too many watches and decided to sell some of them.
First one is an Excelsior Park chronograph with the sought after Tuxedo dial. Those watches come in different configurations. Some with lume, some without. Some with lumed hands, some without. Some with round pushers, some with square etc.So it is difficult to say which configuration is "correct" but I believe the watch to be original and correct.
A good read about the Tuxedo dial can be found at https://www.fratellowatches.com/tbt-the-excelsior-park-tuxedo-dial-chronograph/

Case
The steel case is 35.5mm which gives the watch a nice wrist presence if you don't have huge paws (my wrist size is about 18.5cm). Edges of the lugs are sharp but I believe that the case has seen a very professional polishing in the past. The lug size is 18.5mm so that a 19mm strap sits tight and 18mm has a bit space. But both sizes work.

Pushers and Crown
Pushers are neither square nor olive but with rounded edges. They are in very good shape without much wear. The crown is imho original but has a small ding, please look at the pics.
.
Dial
The duotone dial is completely original and in perfect shape. As mentioned above it is a so-called Tuxedo dial with a hooked seven which is typical for Excelsior Park. Dial is not lumed.

Hands
The stick hands are blued and in near perfect shape. The blueing looks beautiful in natural light. The configuration is uncommon, but as I own another Tuxedo dial with blued stick hands, I am confident that they are original.

Movement
The caliber is a nice EP4 (if I am not mistaken) with stripes de Geneve. It was serviced in 2018 by my watchmaker and runs stable within about +/-5s a day. My watchmaker could confirm that there are no signs of a redial on the back of the dial.

Strap
The watch comes with an unworn strap of your choice. See the pics below. Some pics show a black strap with white stitching with which I used to wear the watch. This strap is not included as it is worn. If you like the strap I can recommend the maker.

Price
A similar but bigger military issud watch with lume on hands and dial is currently for sale for nearly eight thousand Euros. My watch is not the same league so you can get it for about the half: 4000 Euros OBRO shipped to your door.
If you are interested don't hesitate to contact me and discuss the price. I am open for reasonable offers.

Terms
The sale is final unless the watch was grossly misrepresented.
Feel free to ask any question you have. If you encounter any mistakes I made in the description, I am happy to correct them.

References
This is my first watch sale here on OF. Before, I was simply hoarding and have bought several watches here on OF (and certainly elsewhere).
However, I have met some members her in persion who know that I am real and reliable.

Thanks OF for the space and the opportunity to list the watch!

And now, let the photos talk...

Yesterday, a well known seller from Berlin offered the 37/38mm version for 5800 Euros or so. It was sold in less than a heartbeat.
And mine is even serviced by my very competent watchmaker.

Make yourself a Christmas gift for much less!

I have two EP40-68 watches and a late EP4, manufactured just prior to the introduction of the EP4-68.

All three of my Gallet EP watches keep very stable time and they are adjusted for + 2 to +6 seconds a day and can go for a week just winding them daily, assuming one does not mind being off by 15 seconds by the end of a week.

It's a beautiful watch with a very fine movement.

I'm sure the right buyer will come along.

If I was doing a better job of “un hoarding” I’d be all in. It’s amazing.

I can help with unhoarding: Just sell some of your UG Tris. Pretty sure they will find a buyer soon.

A similar watch (37mm and round pushers) with some obvious issues (hands rusted and too short, cheese everywhere although "serviced") is currently offered for 6500 by a well known dealer.
So be reminded that you can get my watch, really serviced, in much better condition for way less!

If you still think my asking price is too high, make me an offer. It is OBRO!
