On the chronograph below the words "Swiss made" appear apart from each other and separated by the 6, rather than underneath. does this pattern always indicate a redial or can there be instances where it appears on original dials? (Credit to @ulackfocus for pointing out the feature on another watch a few days ago). http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/231607740876?rmvSB=true&ul_ref=http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-53481-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574895690&toolid=10044&campid=5336639833&customid=geoship_email_api_advanced&mpre=http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-EXCELSIOR-PARK-cal-4-CHRONOGRAPH-S-VERNET-Navigat-r-Danish-Marine-/231607740876&srcrot=710-53481-19255-0&rvr_id=1019515119584&_mwBanner=1&ul_noapp=truePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Thanks as ever for your thoughts and best regards, S
I've never been aware of that being a 'tell' for redials. In the watch you've linked to, I consider the dial to be original.
The SWISS MADE location and spacing being too high is only a tell when you know it should be lower and closer together. Also, most watch companies centered the entire phrase instead of using the space between the words as the center to align against the 6:00 marker.
IMO it looks original but with bad relume...another similar example... OP watch being in better condition.
Yeah, that relume on the OP is really a pity considering the pristine condition of the dial. My main interest though wasn't so much in the watch itself than its "Swiss made" marking...
