I didn't really fancy the grey dial but I have to say it looks really nice in your picture. It's definitely more unique than the black and blue too.
Thanks! If I didn't buy this one, it would have been the grey dial with SS bracelet without question!
I've been collecting watches since 1988, and it's easy to become jaded when you've been around the block a bit. So, in defense of the OP, I say: we've all been there with a new car, girl or boyfriend, house, job, etc., and we all realize and know deep down that this stage can't last. But when we're in it, it's still a lot of fun. So let him have his time with it and allow him to enjoy it.
I put my Tag Heuer Aquaracer on for the first time since May 3rd. It felt weird as it's so much lighter and the dial is smaller. On the wrist it looks just fine but it just lacks the umph. It's like going from driving a 2019 Ram pick up truck fully loaded with a hemi and going to a Ford Edge. I just miss the big full look and feel of the Seamaster. Not to mention it's a better looking watch especially the bezel.
This recent short interview with Prince William on the BBC shows him opening up about emotions and bereavement… about the "British stiff upper lip thing" having its place when times were hard, but people also need to "to relax a little bit and be able to talk about our emotions because we're not robots". Nice interview with world class sportsman taking it all in.... and of course his Mid size SMP Seamaster Quartz on show which, as a gift from his late mother still clearly means the world to him and he is very glad it is on his wrist... marking his passing time and linking past with present. Princess Diana also knew a thing or two about style. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48317793 ..
I have come to the conclusion that I have become a nerd. Oh and all the rest of you are too. I think it’s ok though. Expensive, but ok.
