My latest Genève Admiralty. The sellers pics showed it as a fairly standard black dial.

Imagine my delight when I saw this in good light, a lovely dial that changes from black to chocolat noir depending on lighting and angles.

The camera just can't capture it but I'm very happy with this one.

Eat your hearts out you Speedophiles :D

    Superduper Rare. That's really
stunning Jim. Omega Geneva Collection with that sexy Red Anchor. They call it Geneva Admiralty or Admiraute !
But some dont have the Admiraute !!!
The black chocolate dial not sure whether it's a Cal 601 or 552..
Is the chocolate dial , a variant from the original colour ? Never seen one without a date though. The second hand is red like the anchor not white..
Jim i guessing the watch was manufactured in the late sixties
Nobody makes this kind of watches anymore Jim...
    LOVE IT[emoji173] [emoji7]

We have an affinity. Lovely watches, and of course, my service time spent in Malaysia, Ms Fox's homeland.

Both of mine are Caliber 601, the one with marker tabs (not numbers) has a black dial. The new one has a black dial that has faded over time to the choccy shade you can see in some conditions.

They are very hard to find in good condition at reasonable outlays. Some of the prices being asked at the moment are  and there are a few fakes still floating around.

I must be away now, my Darling has prepared slow cooked lamb shanks with three veg, YUM!

Lovely! Please post pictures with both of them side by side, the chocolate will be more apparent.

I had this out today for a competition I've entered ;)

It would be unfair to spam the comp with my pics so here's a shot of the choccy dial.
