Ever Get Your Watch Really Dirty?

I just picked up the cat and got that wet gooey feeling.

My FOIS covered in cat poop. Substitute space with another word that begins with « S ».

Some soap to my hands and forearms and some extended time with the watch under running water and I think everything is fine.

As for Poopy pants, well she just headed for more food and then thought it was nap time.

I had to wipe her and inspect her area. I got the hairy eyeball.

And we are all living happily …for now…

Years ago….We had a day of painting new lockers at our sailing beach. By days end my new Rolex GMT was covered in dry blue exterior paint. I’d been so busy, I’d forgotten I was wearing it. A soak and a careful clean followed but bits of blue paint persisted for months.

Ah yes! Dirty watches! None of mine get exceptionally dirty, but i work on the odd one which has so much mung on it, it almost makes me retch. On one occasion, I was asked to clean up a man’s Rolex which had been on the wrist of a guy who was killed in a car accident! The watch wasn’t damaged, but it was coated with the poor b _ _ _ _ _ _ _ s blood.

Totally off topic, but as a firearms collector, I was twice offered suicide revolvers within approximately 48 hrs of each other in 2 separate gun shops. Both had blood and brains still on them. Needless to say, I bought neither.

We once took a long road trip with our cat and brought a small portable covered litter box for the road. The box was an awkward size and due to a combination of whatever gymnastics our cat did to use it and probably nervous stomach being on the road for so long, one night in a motel he jumped up on the bed with most of his rump covered in liquid s—t. I picked him up and held him at arms length while my wife filled the bath and then dunked him in while she soaped him up.

I can’t recall what watch I may have been wearing or maybe I wasn’t wearing one at the time. But if ever a reason to own a Mudmaster….

Never any sh*t, but everything else. Paint, oil, grease, mud and any grime thats in a machine and welding shop. I wash it reagularly with soap and a nail brush. Worst thing to wash of is welding spatter, its welded on.
