Some members have stated that the vintage Seamaster 300 divers were undervalued when compared with vintage Rolex Subs and Omega Speedmasters. Perhaps not so much any more. This is a big jump in price IMHO. But then that's what happens after the supply has dried up (for months). https://www.ebay.com/itm/172280131621Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Third generation, 165.024 CB case, American import 550 caliber, 17 jewels, no date, no Big Triangle, no military provenance. T SWISS MADE T inscription in dial is not visable in pics but probably there. Has a 1039/516 bracelet. 27xxx, 1968 production. Bezel is correct I believe , as is the dial and hands. All seem to appear to match lume wise. . A very nice example, but not stellar, at a strong asking price.
Are those marks on the dial or plexi? If orig dial, hands and bezel, and if marks are on the dial, IMO its in the 6.5 to 7.5k range. If marks on the crystal 8k +.
If you're gonna be a bear, be a grizzly... Makes most of us feel pretty good about the pieces we have.
I guessing it's the crystal but perhaps @shane0mack at EWC should consider pulling the dial out for a pic showing a pristine dial (hopefully) and the T SWISS MADE T.
I don't think the lack of holes on the 6 and 12 is positively indicative of anything other than thinning dial lume. There are many quality examples posted without these dots.
Totally agree, just pointing out, and macro lume shots are always nice on a watch commanding this price.
Wasn't a watch like this about 4-5k$ US about 4-6 months ago... I don't think I have ever seen sm300 165.024 in double digits.... Maybe a big triangle
Interesting to see what it actually goes for. So that would make my unmolested 14755-61 / 7912 / #6 worth?
