    Greetings,

This is my post here and nice to be on the Forum.

As a paradox, my first post is regarding Eterna watches, not Omega.

I have been watching and reading the threads for some time but had no courage to step in or ask questions.

I now have some advice i would like to ask for from the experts.

I have recently acquired two nice vintage Eterna Matic watches. One features the 12824 caliber, the other is a Kontiki and has the 1424ud caliber.

Both watches are running well but the quick set date function does not work on any of them.

Do you guys have any idea what could have happened? and any thoughts on how i can have it fixed? maybe parts are missing or broken?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and time.

    Alex

What is your understanding as to how the date set function should work on the caliber 12824. This is basically ETA 2824 which Ranfft lists as a quick set model. Missing parts? I suspect that you are not aware as to how the quick set function should work.

Can you get the crown in the second position?

I have the Kontiki with the 1424ud movement myself. You are aware you have to "pull" the crown every time you set the next date?
