For sale is my Eterna KonTiki 20 with quick-set date, a deep sea-blue-green (more blue) crackle dial, and a beautiful stainless steel Kontiki raft case-back engraving.

Of course, this watch's namesake is a tribute to that amazing 1947 expedition by Norwegian Thor Heyerdahl, the details of which you can read/learn about here at the 'History Channel':

http://www.history.com/news/thor-heyerdahls-kon-tiki-voyage

CASE: The cushion-style case, somewhat polished, measures 36.5mm w/out crown. Lugs are 18mm. No major dings or scratches. Very light scratches on the case-back, but the engraving is one of the best I've seen, where you can even see the patterns in the sky behind the raft. Check out the two pics...

DIAL: This dial is somewhat unique, in that it has aged in such a way as to form a consistent crackled appearance to the dial, seen best in the sunlight. I've included pictures that amplify this appearance. It's my understanding that this pattern on a dial may not bode well for its future, but good news is, in the year and a half that I have owned it, it has not increased or changed; your mileage may vary 馃槈...

CRYSTAL: flat and smooth, with no visible dings or scratches. This one might be sapphire, but I'm just not sure...

CROWN: Screw-down recessed style, unsigned, I believe to be original.

MOVEMENT: 25 jewels, 28,800 bpm automatic, cal.12824, naturally, with the 5 ball-bearing rotor that Eterna is famous for inventing. Running well, keeping good time, +5 to 20s/day. Quick-set date works flawlessly. However, I'm not sure when it was last serviced, therefore I suggest one if you plan on wearing it regularly or if you want to SWIM with it. Therefore:

WARNING: This watch is not considered water-proof! If you want to swim with it, then get it serviced properly, including new seals and gaskets. Have him/her also do a pressure test (especially if you want to dive or snorkel).

PRICE: $300 OBO via PP includes conUS shipping. Contact me for outside shipping, to discuss additional costs.

Sale is final unless this watch is misrepresented. Be sure to look at ALL photos, as they are part of the description...

I'll be sending it to the buyer on the well-worn strap on the watch in the photos. If you really want a better strap, I can probably locate a less worn black one for you, just ask.

Please PM here if you'd like additional info or pics. Thanks for looking!
