Hi OF I reluctantly put this Eterna-Matic from the 50s for sale to keep my servicing costs manageable. Dial: For the highlight of this watch, the playful arrangement of the hour markers, that are half sunken or semi-embossed. The 12'o clock arabic marker stands out, but also the 3-6-9 hour markers have different shape than the others. The same is true for the lume plots that are round apart from the ones at 3-6-9-12 o'clock which are triangles. The dial is slightly discolored with the aging a bit more pronounced towards the center. The hands have some signs of corrosion. It is otherwise clean and scratch free. The speck between minute 41 and 42 is some dust inside of the crystal. Case: The case is sharpe and still retains the sharp facets on the lugs. It has some dings, dangs and scratches, which is to be expected for a watch of this age, nothing that is distracting IMO. The most noticeable perhaps is the ding on the bezel at 11 o'clock. The case serial number on the caseback is still clearly legible. It measures 34mm excluding the crown. The lug width is 18mm. The crown is originally signed. Crystal: The crystal is most likely generic and the edges are a bit chipped off at 1, 5, and 11 o'clock (see pictures) and should be easily dealt with at the next service. Movement: The watch is powered by the calibre 1254UC (not visible on the picture, but confirmed by my watchmaker), which according the Ranfft belongs to the first family of the ball bearing rotor movement, which Eterna is famous for. Based on the serial number and the serial number table on schild-eterna.de the movement was produced approx. 1953. It runs and sets fine, but I don't have the service history and a service is advisable before regular use. I apologize for the poor quality of the movement picture. It was taken at my watchmaker's shop in poor light conditions. What it includes: Watch head plus a very nice vintage Eterna box. Price: I'm asking EUR 275 (reduced from EUR 290). The watch and I are located in Switzerland. Shipment within Switzerland is for free. Uninsured shipping within Europe costs EUR 15, insured shipping EUR 35. Happy to ship overseas at cost. I prefer Wise or bank transfer as payment methods. Returns are accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented. Bump in me because I'm wearing my Eternamatic today. Great watch here, with a very nice dial! Great value for money, so someone should join the Eterna Club GLWS!!
