·Hello Ladies and Gentlemen,
Time has come... I'm indeed looking for my first time! For the one I will always emotionally remember as my first buyer on the Omega Forums 🥰
So, may I offer you for your consideration my Eterna-Matic in a stainless steel case with a nice off-white/light cream dial with applied logo and hour markers dating from the 1950s.
I bought this watch last year in May from my watchmaker... I was visiting him to obviously give him a couple of my watches needing a service. And ended walking out with a watch on my wrist
Probably a bit of an impulse buy at the moment, even though I have enjoy it since then. That said, in the last couple of months, several new arrivals made it that I'm not wearing it as much, if at all. I find it a pity as it is a nice piece, working perfectly as my watchmaker serviced it before selling it to me (note: I don't have any invoice for that).
So, here is the lengthy description (inspired by other seller's ads)...
Dial: The original dial is what I'd call off-light, light cream coloured. It only has some a few small dots in in its center below the Eterna-Maric wording. From what my eyes can catch, only missing one lume pip at the top indice (ie 12 o'clock). Applied logo and hour markers.
Hands: Not sure if original to the watch really but they are in tune with the dial.
Case: Steel case measures 35mm (w/o crown) with sharp edges, with some light scratches. The one on the top left lug is the more visible when looking up close. I see 2 other small one, one on each lower lugs. The crystal is free of any major scratches. Back case has an engraving.
Movement: Caliber 1416U, it runs and winds smoothly, keeps time nicely. It was serviced by my watchmaker when I bought it from him, but I didn't request any invoice. So, if no invoice equals service history unknown, let's say it is... but it works like a charm 😀.
Crown: Signed crown, whether it is original to the watch, don't know but it is the appropriate to the model.
Bracelet: standard light brown with cream stitching that I would say, dresses the watch wonderfully 😀
Price: €285 (Net to me, OBRO) + shipping
The watch and myself are in located in Brussels/Belgium. It can be shipped fully insured, and obviously pricing will depend on the destination. In any case, feel free to reach out for additional information. Can be done in English, French and/or Spanish (my spoken Dutch is better for other matters than business, so let's not go there maybe)
No returns please ask questions and extra pictures in advance.
Unfortunately (for my wallet) my only references on OF are as a buyer... HERE (If you don't want to click on the link, it basically can be summarised by "Lester is such a great guy, the best!")
And now... Picture time! (taken with my phone)
The bracelet and wrist shot
Voilà, thank you taking the time to read this posting, and to the OF for the opportunity and platform.
Lester
PS: This being my first sale post, feel free to give me any constructive feedback/remarks, point out any missing information, and/or, just tell me I'm great 😉
