Up for sale is my Eterna Chrono with the Valjoux 726 movement. This was serviced last summer by Richard Askham and has been worn very sparingly since (certainly no more than 10-15 days total). He told me he’d seen quite a few of these over the years, and commented that this one probably had the best condition case and bezel out of all of them. The two negatives are that the crown isn’t original and the caseback is marked with the post code of a previous owner. It’s no deeply engraved but polishing it off would also remove the serial number. I’ll add extra pictures in the morning. Asking Price: 1995 GBP Shipping: Shipping will be added at cost price, which of course depends on destination country. Shipping Country: The watch will ship out of Germany Payment: Bank transfer only Here are some additional pictures. They’re pretty basic but I just want to show the condition as best as I can... this isn’t Instagram ! The postcode on the back is etched rather than engraved, so it’s very shallow. I can’t feel it when I move my finger tip over it, but I can if I use my finger nail. Then below those is the paperwork from the service with Richard Askham. He fitted a new crown that was closer to the original than the one it came with, plus the hairspring required a bit of a tweak. In the invoice he accidentally wrote Enicar Chrono as he did it the same time as my Sherpa Graph, but it’s clear that it’s the Eterna as it’s a Valjoux 726. Then a couple of extra pictures at the bottom of the movement and caseback that Rich took during servicing.
A couple of years ago new OEM bracelets for these FTP154s were available from Eterna for only CHF155 which is not a lot to complete the package.
OK here’s a bump, and I’ll open it up to Paypal payment for buyers with very good references. Still I’d prefer bank transfer though, so for anyone paying directly I’ll drop it to £1795 !
Well it was kind of on holding pending the buyer raising funds but that seems to have fizzled out... so BUMP.
Right. I need to raise some funds so I'm dropping this again. The last one I saw in great condition sold on ebay for just over £2k, and whilst that one didn't have any markings on the casebook it also didn't have any service history. This one is running beautifully. Price now is £1675 and now must be by bank transfer. If it is more convenient it could be paid by bank transfer in equivalent euros into my German account.
Bump... I’m a bit surprised this is still here so giving it a bump. Worn only sparingly since servicing, fantastic condition case, dial, bezel, Valjoux 726 movement !!
