    Hi,
Strange thing for a watch collector to find an old watch lying between an old shelf and the wall in the attic? It must have been lost of misplaced by some former owners of the house (its and old house), and I of course had to open it to see what it was.
The watch dial and back is marked DAMAS: As far as I know this is/was a chain of jeweler stores? Anyhow the markings "41 jewels" intrigued me.
Opening the snap on caseback showed a nicely gilded movement, and I recognized it as a ETA design, and the baseplate had the ETA logo and the number 2452.
So - of to Dr. Ranfft to see what information his database could provide. The 2452 shows up fine, but only in 25 jewel version?
Anyone seen this version before, and maybe someone has some info on "DAMAS"?
