that price is WITH buyer's premium included, but it is still very good considering the conditions of that watch were not great and no bracelet either....

 

a similar one but in incredibly good conditions (I saw it live) at Christies sold for 21.25k CHF (or USD, same fx right now), which I think was a much better buy and probably below what I would have expected it to sell. Also this one didn't have the bracelet but was on a strap

 

Another interesting sale was the blue dial from their 13th May Sunday sale....

 

Damn, is this 2018? Is it just me or does it sound "cheap" compared to their price a couple years ago? Are those falling out of fashion?
Edit / Add: And you'd think at that price they could put it on a proper leather strap instead of some cheap-o tropic thing...

Why are we discussing 2016 prices here?
I thought those had reached at least 30k dollars/ euros, tailing behind the Nina which IIRC went close to 50.
And I never understood why the Eric Claptons would be worth less than the Nina Rindt when the additional moon phase feature and sub dial is so nice.
