Turns out my Speedmaster '67, 1039 bracelet has the wrong end links 馃檨

But which are the correct end links 20mm 516 or 16? Other?

Now, the good news. The end links I actually have are 19mm no 6. Some guy is currently selling some on ebay for 拢2543! ::psy::

I got it wrong half read the post sorry!!!! read the 1039 part and was thinking of 516 end links

no 6 should be 20mm yours have been shaved to 19mm no where near as valuable
Not so. The No 6s came on the straight lugs. 19mm is correct. You are thinking of 516 maybe.

People ask all sorts of silly prices on eBay. I鈥檇 put a pair of 6s at more like 拢1500-1750 maybe, even then they might take a long time to sell. This is why why I was suggesting splitting the watch head, end links and bracelet in the OP鈥檚 other thread.

eBay suggests ~拢750 for 516s. I may have been optimistic above. It looks like some pairs of No6s have fetched nearer 拢1250-1500.

If you are just looking to sell I really wouldn鈥檛 bother trying to put the right links on it. There is no premium over the head and bracelet separately for a complete watch, unless it鈥檚 a mint full set with box maybe.

Run into a bit of a problem removing the spring bars. Looks like the wrong size have been fitted and there's nothing to get hold of so I'm not sure how to remove the bracelet without damaging it.

As regards the end links. They measure exactly 19mm and all edges are nicely rounded, no evidence of filing. The stamped 6's are very clear. If they were on a new watch I wouldn't complain.
