Yes, you are right. The Chronomètre Bleu is one of my few all-time favorites. However, my old photos posted above do no justice this magnificent work of art. In reality the dial is not so dull. I just took a few new shots which show some effects of the vibrant, shiny, glossy dial:

The case made of Tantalum features a display back showing the gorgeous movement cal. 1304 made of Gold. The movement is very cleverly designed, with a bit of humor: there is no apparent mechanical connection between the barrels and going train on the left side and the escapement on the right side:

… only five of fifteen :)

Thank you very much for your comment. I'm choosing these terms rather conservatively. In this case I wanted to express the degree of availability for the OP.

    Cheers,

    Mick

Omega Speedmaster 3523.80. Aesthetics-wise, the pinnacle of the blue Speedy triple date if you ask me.

Electric blue is probably one of the best value daily wear beaters on the market, comes in both steel and titanium too, I've often considered a TI version for that very reason, tough as nails and with a metal rather than painted bezel it doesn't get shabby looking like a 2531.80 can when abused.

This is my SMP 2255.80, currently on the Bay. A bit disappointed that I haven't gotten any nibbles there... ImageUploadedByTapatalk1433282663.784428.jpg

I don't even know if I can express what I am thinking as I wear this one.

I went on a road trip in April to Vegas with a couple of friends/members here and while we spent time at the Omega boutique, Tournau, etc., I did sneak a visit to the Blancpain boutique by myself to check out the Fifty Fathom watch. I was amazed. Simply amazed.

Well, this one arrived today and wow. I need some time to let it soak in.

Lites up like 4th of July.

When I picked up FF at post office, mailman was wearing Omega SMP. We talked watches for a bit, I had on my SM300. Never did tell him my incoming, but heard a great story about how his grandfather gave him a rado when he was 4 years old. His grandfather collected watches (imagine if they had the internet back then) and taught him how to set a watch at 4 years old. Guessing this goes back 50 years ago. Cool story.
