Hi - am looking into purchasing a vintage watch, I am wondering if the stainless steel woven bracelets are as easy to resize as a newer watch strap as am unsure if it has pins. It looks more like a woven chain - any thoughts?.

Integrated mesh and Milanese bracelets were usually sized for the owner at the point of sale or shortly thereafter.

It required cutting to size of the length of the mesh part and fitting clasps by way of gold brazing, so unless the watch fits you as is, the sizing for your wrist will be expensive.

Some mesh bracelets did come with an adjustability feature, however, as you've only shown a fuzzy pic of "a piece of bracelet" of unknown origin or type, we can only guess unless we see both clasp ends in clear well focussed and well lit photos.

Thank you - makes sense! Image attached is from the retailer website and looks as if no adjustment built in.

IMO the bracelet is solid silver not stainless steel.
Any skilled jeweler should be able to shorten it.
However to make it longer will be complex and very costly. this would not pay off...

I think it might be silver plated based on some other websites but I am awaiting more info from the seller. Am happy to get it re sized if it's perfect, it's good to hear from people about the reality of cost however as this will be an investment piece.

And keep in mind is may already be too short as well.

I think as it is a man's size watch and I am a woman with a smaller wrist size it will be too big but fair point. Been looking for an Andrew Grima vintage watch for a while ...fingers crossed. Thank you for your comments
