    Hi Guys and Gals

I have been looking for a replacement leather strap for my lovely 1973 Connie Megasonic.
The strap is a bit of an odd one as it has integrated spring bars to accommodate the spreading width that matches the case. The one on the watch is a bit worse for wear after the decades and I'd like a 'fresh' one.
I've seen this case style with just normal 'straight' straps and they look too narrow and a bit pish to me tbh.
This style of strap looks like it belongs... the problem is can I really find one anywhere!
Ideally I'd like a genuine NOS strap if I can get one.

You can see what I mean about having integrated bars...

Failing that I'll just get some alligator and re-do it myself.

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Cheers
    Bob

Could you post some dimensions (width at buckle, width at case and lug width)?

Have you considered having a custom strap made? There are stores that make pretty much anything you want, and probably could duplicate the one you have now. Do you think the funky spring bars + holders are reusable?

    @Syrte could probably chime in...

    Interesting idea, cheers.
Might try for some of my other pieces in future, but I really do like the integrated bars on my current strap though tbh.
If I was going to put that much manual effort in I'd just get some alligator hide and re-make the current one. :)

Oh, and for the folks who like to see such things, here she is with her back off...

I like it and I also have some f720 inner values.

Most are separated. I don't know if they have been dissembled, or if they are new, unmounted parts.

Holy crap... look at all those micromotors!!!
You ever tried any of them out to see if they are working?

The forks that have motors on it are working. If the separate motors are OK or not, I don't know. I would have to make a fixture to glue the motor onto the fork in the right position.

Strap is still available from Omega...call a local AD or Boutique and get them to order you one.

It won't be the nice crocodile leather of the original though :-(

    Awesome, thanks for this. :)
Now I know it's still available, I feel better about having a crack at re-covering the original.
Bought an 80's alligator skin purse that looks like a good colour match so will tackle it once it arrives.
Might work out, might not, either way it should be fun to try!
