here is the elusive 3-starred Connie medallion -or I think what someone on the forum once called "a penis in a belt" 15 bids now at a wholesome £129 but it's okay -no rush -you have 5 days left to bid exquisite dial photography http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nice-old-...978?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20ff8594faPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network to be fair, the description does say "Here we have, what I believe is a nice old genuine gents mens omega constellation automatic wristwatch..."
That case back is the same as on the 2652 too. That dial has also been seen on the 2652. Anybody here wants to find out?
There are many 2652s with the applied OMEGA: https://omegaforums.net/threads/what-do-you-think-of-this-354-constellation.24539/#post-271360
I didn't say it couldn't be a 2887, just the chance is 50/50. If you do not have more info than publicly available, sure.
but why would anybody purposely polish out the minor stars -and the 'head' of the observatory to boot? -and for my benefit -what makes this a 2887?
There seems no sign of polishing on that caseback. Those small stars just have been worn out, because they were... small.
