    Hi,

Does anyone know what Omega watch this will fit? It's 18mm wide. I was hoping it would fit by Seasmaster Cosmic but I think that's 19mm wide. Potentially may fit a 1970s Geneve? Maybe a an Electronic f300?

    any help would be appreciated

    thanks

    Matt

Is it like the one I have for sale? Here.

If so, I mention a few possibilities.

    Cheers, Chris

    Hi Chris,

It is the same one! Apologies as I don't know much about this but are you saying it will fit models that have 'a 166.041 case and possibly a 166.003 and 2849'? If so, do you know if these are specific to a certain model/date or are they found across the range? eg Could any Omega watch have a case like that? thanks Matt

    Hi Matt

I think these end links were made for the 166.041 like this one. It gives a fully integrated look in my opinion and like my Admiralty, I think the links were made specifically for these cases. These are specific references so, not across a range, sorry.

I've also seen them here on a 2849 and on a Constellation. I'm not sure that either of these are exactly right but they do seem to work. You need to get the case radius so it matches and the offset of the bracelet holes from the case.

    Cheers, Chris

Great, thanks. I've only got two Omegas and by chance it looks like I have 2849 (A Seamaster Calender from 1958 I think) although it's silver. I was hoping it might fit a f300 electronic as they have quite long lugs but I'll check the case radius and the offset from the bracelet holes as you say. Thanks for your help

Most cases involved here are different. You need to tell us the exact case model you are wanting to put the band on. Then we can check the radius shape between the lugs and lug wall to spring bar hole distance to see if it will fir the band with 558s.

Edit: Just saw you did all that.

Can you post pics of the watches?

    Hi,
Thanks...this is the Geneve Electronic (case size 35mm). I've been told the bakc of the case states 198 0065. Also a Geneve (37mm) with a case 165.041 although the lugs don't look long enough?
    thanks

    Hi Matt

166.041 and 165.041 should be the same case. These codes mean something like the following (have a look on the web):

    xyz.aaa

    x= 1 is a men's wristwatch on strap (x=5 is a ladies and I don't remember any others)
    y= 6 is an automatic
z= 6 is with date and z= 5 is without date.
    aaa is the model number.

    Cheers, Chris

558s will not fit the f300 Gèneve.

They may fit the other watch. See how the case radiuses (radii) are different?

I think you should sell the band or get a nice stainless cased watch to suit the stainless/radius end links.

(Note: 5 points for enablement there).

    :D

Thanks, I think I'll get the Geneve 165.041 and try my band with it. Shame re the f300

What does 'note: 5 points for enablement there' mean?

Ah, I see....always good to have a reason to get a nice watch!

The band is gold plated....unfortunately it doesn't fit the Geneve 165.041....the lugs aren't long enough. I think i'll see if it fits my silver 2849 and if it does, try and get a gold version of it. I've got seen a gold 2648 which looks very similar which might fit as well.

    thanks for your help

    Matt

I was initially told the 166 case I bought wouldn't fit the strap...however I've gone to a different chap and he was able to fit it. You were right! Looks great, thanks
