It is not my intention to high-jack this thread - however:
Is there a percentage guide for what you would deduct from a vintage classic with washed plots? 10%, 20%???

FWIW, I think some people prefer washed plots over ones that are partially missing (or sloppy, or with few totally intact and a few totally missing). I'm not one of those people, but I've definitely come across them. Damn shame imo. Anyway, to your original question, I don't know. Seems a matter of taste mostly.

Not all the "fixins" seem to properly match up with this Ed White. The red box labeled "Patent Shaft Steel Works" is from other Omega watches cased in the UK by Dennison.

IMHO, it's doubtful if any of the "fixins" is original to this watch.

The grey bezel is nice, and I think it adds to the value....

Over 6 days remain and already $6,600. A year ago I don't think it would have sold at $6,600. Prices seem to go up and up.

Way better pics are on the OF sales thread, compared to the ebay pics. $15k is the ask on OF.

It will be interesting to see where this ends. As far as final price? I can't imagine this going above $10k. Granted I don't follow the price points very close as I bought my Ed White 9-10 months ago. If this goes above $10k then I may very well store my Ed White to keep it in outstanding condition and just wear the Gemini4 and Straight Writing (ha, who am I kidding. lol).

I thought the same, its interesting as I have a 105.003-64 which I bought from the original owner, it came with box and tags, the box is the red type but its no the same as the later boxes, there are subtle differences which point to it being older. I am in the process of writing a bit of a study on the famous 'red box' as I have 12 with outers and there are 8 variations amongst the 12............... I need to get out more

Would you be willing to do a small write up of the differences between all the boxes? I'm sure there would be a lot of interest here, especially with pictures. Thank you.

eBay removed the listing, along with 3 others because my phone number is in the listing (even though its there in every listing). I relisted it last night. See attached reasoning by eBay.

I'm letting it run all the way through the auction period.
