Ed White ref. ST 105.003–65 - clean dial / hands ?

Dear experts,

I've stumpled upon this Ed White ref. 105.003-65, but the dial and hands looks way to clean to be original from '65.
The add says nothing about service dial or hands.

Wouldnt you agree something is up ?

Thank you as always for the valuable inputs.

All the best
- Martin

Yep. Lume removed and hands replaced. Buy accordingly ie about £/$1-2k lower than a nice one. The serial suggests it actually dates to 67-69. Hands can be changed and dial lume can be redone.

Oh I just noticed, the crown looks a bit skinny to be right. Maybe.

Have you seen a James Hyman relume? If you think you haven’t you probably have but haven’t noticed.

you are absolutly right - i see a lot of professionaly relumed watches, also offered by well
reputated dealers and in the watch description they write ... - even radium near to perfect

not only James Hymann is doing a excellent job

clients love matching lume and indices, so even good original lume often has to move back

every ones decission, but it must be a decission (only possible if the client knows about)

back to the watch in this thread:

a relume could make sence, when the price is low and the buyer have a contact to someone,
who makes the relume very professional and the buyer knows about this, we talk about

I'd suggest asking for a better photo of the dial before buying. It's difficult to see flaws in a photo that is so oversaturated, and this is a common dealer trick.

This. That auction site always do crappy pics.

Ask for images in natural light.....

Case looks nice from these pics.

Dial may not be worth reluming.

Thanks for the input, however not really sure what you are trying to highlight ?

If you look closely, you'll see some dial deterioration along the step.

The auction site says the hands are later, so I'd read the listing first. They also point out the dial discoloration.
