I'm wondering if you had the choice of a mint condition Ed White or a Silver Snoopy, which would you choose and why?

    Thanks!

Ed White!! Much more relevant historically, rarity, cal. 321, simply timeless!!

... enough said. No brainer for me.

Unless your a huge NASA fan I think you can build a better white speedmaster. Ed white looks amazing and has history.

Ed white, no contest to start with it doesn’t have cartoon character on the dial.

    Hands down - Ed.

Edit - in fact if it’s that Ed in the picture. No question.

Owning a Snoopy would feel like owning some other actor's Oscar.
I know they don't give them a Speedmaster with the award, but still.

Hmm, Brando's Godfather Oscar? I'd make an exception.

Yeesh... didn't think I'd be in such a small minority, but I'd definitely pick the Silver Snoopy.

The Ed White has history and soul. I suppose that the Snoopy is prettier, but there is not a question here. I would go with the Ed White.

    Ed White for me.

Perfect proportions and colors combined with history and a great movement.

Snoopy every time. I usually buy what I like to see more than a piece because of its history

To each their own. Some people like to buy nice clean new modern furniture, while others like to buy antiques. The choice of watches here is analogous. I am more of an antique guy.

Snoopy. I'm just not into buying vintage unless it would be to make money reselling it. The quality is just so poor compared to modern watches (same with Rolex, etc.), and I'm much more interested in wearing a solidly built watch than a rare vintage piece, even though I appreciate them for what they are ... for other people :)

I think the vintage watch will become more trouble than you'd want as it gets much older - a service nightmare once parts dry up even more. It's cool and all, but it would become a display piece only, eventually.

The Ed White would be an investment mostly, and likely NOT be a wrist worn watch for me, not when my 145.022 gives me a similar vintage vibe without all the worry about harm to the watch. But the Silver Snoopy could be worn and serviced easily, and fixed if it was cosmetically damaged in an accident too. The Snoopy is more practical, and very distinctive in a crowd of basic Speedmasters.

At this point, I don't know for sure what I would pick, but I'm leaning toward the Silver Snoopy.

I've had both in my collection at the same time and I will say that I loved my Ed White but every time I worn it, I felt I had to be extra careful. It just wasn't a joy to wear because of that reason so I moved it on.

The Snoopy is still in the collection and while I don't wear it as much as I thought I would, I still get immense pleasure when I do slip it on my wrist.

I like the snoopy. It's different and and I love the red font over white dial. Also pops very nicely with the black bezel.
