6297D86F-2D14-4930-9F0B-27D410D495EB.jpeg I have recently acquired an omega ed whit I’m really happy with it . There are some stains on the dial probably from where the lume has disintegrated over time . Should I have a watch maker try and remove some of this or leave as it is . I have had a rlume done before by James Hyman on a 78 speedie . Not really looking for a rlume just a tidy up any comments appreciated

It’s hard to be sure as the picture isn’t great but that looks more like wear and damage than staining. Any attempt at remedying it may make it worse.

If the watch is with you, it would be great if you could take a better and sharper photo. The dial is not in focus.

If the damage is anywhere except the lume plots, it would be hard to repair.

Leave it alone. The dial has aged appropriately and has some damage which is very hard to repair. You can relume but then the lume won’t match the dial.

The whole thing screams patina - I’d leave it and enjoy it as it is, it looks great considering its age

Maybe let your watchmaker open up the dial can carefully inspect those stains and decide on solutions.

looks like natural aging or possibly a small point of moisture intrusion. trying to remedy this does not generally render better results

You have scratches on your dial. the stained areas look like someone tried to repair before. but it can also be moisture.
Leave it as it is and enjoy the watch!
