路I just want to share this because we do not see this very often: Eberhard & Co. Contograf, reference 31501, silver dial.
It has the original Eberhard bracelet with matching endlinks. The dial has a kind of shimmer and structure which looks great, especially against the black hands.
Also pretty cool is the small button at the left flank to quick set the date. The bezel has some marks / scratches, so the watch has been used over the last 50 years, but most of the pieces I have seen had bezels in worse condition.
The silver dial seems to be rarer (or simply not that frequently pictured and to be found in the web) than the black dial versions. Before wearing both, I thought it must be the black dial. After trying both: for me it鈥檚 the silver dial.
Anyway, it wears great (silver and black).
Does anybody have an idea if there is a vintage service anywhere or even at Eberhard & Co.?
Best regards and thanks
