Here is my discovery diver from late 1990's it is powered by the famous cal 8810 lemania one of the thinnest automatic movements ever made and also used in former Breguet, Patek and Vacheron models. Ebel was established in 1911 and made some very fine watches back in the day. Unfortunately they are now part of the Movado Group
That 18k gold chronograph was worn by Don Johnson in Miami Vice, love that watch I believe that has the zenith el primero??
I think Don Johnson wore one of the predecessors, which was called 'Le Modulor', and as you say had the famous El Primero movement. These watches above are the successors which featured a (Lemania 1340 based) Calibre 137 Ebel Movement. This movement was also used (and I believe still is) in Ulysse Nardin watches. Rumor has it that if you send such Ebel models for revision, it goes to Ulysse Nardin workshops.
