Found this while browsing on eBay - looks like the owner had a watch go missing/stolen via Royal Mail, and then saw it has sold on eBay... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Looking-...315912?hash=item25e61af388:g:2m8AAOSwsBtaGdp8Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I think the owner Fullywound used to be on here before being chucked off, however I do feel for him - not ancient thing to happen to anyone. In any case, interesting lesson for us all to keep serial numbers, good photos, and use proper tracking and a good courier (if any exist...)
I do not believe he bought/received insurance because if he did why would he cared somebody else sells it. Also it may not be considered stolen. The eBay seller may have bought the watch at an auction. Here in the states when things go missing, they get auctioned off. There is even a place that specializes in getting rid of lost luggage. https://www.unclaimedbaggage.com/ . I despise it when people claim their item is stolen when they have no proof.
before you get too exited about the full insurance, you bought....... read the fine print or ask them about maximal value for jewellery and the maximum pay out for stolen watches...... kind regards. achim
