In my previous post I stated I'm looking for a vintage Omega. I really want one that is all silver and like the sub second hand look but that wasn't a deal breaker if it had the sweeping hands. Anyway, my original budget was $500 but I couldn't find anything I liked in that price range so I've bumped it up to 1k. I came across this one that I really like but it almost looks too good like a redial which I don't want. I want to find an all original one. So what do you guys think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-195...328240?hash=item3d2a382770:g:seEAAOSwLF1YAxDFPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
It is a redial which isn't a main concern to me,, but hands are not correct, wrong crown and only a side movement shot to ascertain condition. Also way overpriced. if it was all original. Maybe $500 DON
Thoughts on this one? I will see if they can get movement and case back pics but does the dial and crown look consistent? http://m.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-1960...3A2a4578831580a357d64dddd1fff92eff%7Ciid%3A12Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Highly unlikely crown is original to the watch. Comparison of two Seamasters with geniune crowns: While the watch on the right is a SM600, the crown is original to it. My SM30 crown is an Omega replacement. Some SM30s also had an octagonal crown, and a crown that is about half the width of the SM600 one; the crown you show does not reflect this and looks out of place with the watch.
You know there is a similar model, all original for sale on the forum here https://omegaforums.net/threads/seamaster-2846.47556/
I see what you did there! lol I was admiring it the other day actually. I really want an all silver ones without the crosshair. I could probably deal with the crosshair but the gold numbers just isn't my thing. I'm OCD so it has to be all silver or all gold!
How about this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/291925038038?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
