There's a fair chance nothing on that watch is originally Omega-made.

Thank you all for prompt advice

Do you have a link to the eBay item?

Well that's not eBay.

When posting a query it helps if you post the link.

That way we can get it canned if it's a fake, or warn buyers if the watch is on a "suspect" site, of which there are a few.

Not saying that VintageTimeWatches is suspect, but it always pays to check before buying.

Well: I was a bit direct but hey I'm Dutch so I can't help it. Having said that: the watch is not even close to something which exists

I should not have made my question so basic

I knew the dial was a homemade jobby
I suspected the hands were other than Omega
The movement looked right
I suppose my question was really about the case.
The splayed teardrop lugs looked ( to me) very interesting, I found a few similar up for sale , like this one for example and they all have the "homemade dial look.

I found the case reference mentioned above but the one posted has a " -1" behind it and I do not know enough about Omega to know if and what difference that makes.

I did not say it was on eBay though it had been, I also found it on a few other sites, the price on the first adverts was over £900, but it had come down to half of that.

IF it was a an Omega case and the movement was ok I may have considered a few hundred

If I ask a question like this in future I will put the needed detail in.

Sometimes Autism can cause real communication problems and although in my mid 70,s I have not , nor never will, get a grip on that.
