(Ebay Scam) Unusual Speedmaster Reduced 18k full bracelet panda 3112.50.00 from a Very Dodgy Source

I just saw this list on ebay starting at $2500, normally the reduced doesn’t interest me much but an all gold example on bracelet with panda dial is something else. The reference 3112.50.00 on the papers doesn’t return anything either which is unusual. Also, factory gold displayback.

This isn’t something to buy as the seller is clearly crooked but it’s an interesting combination in a reduced.

They're claiming to be the real world store "wales watches" but their username is "wale.swa.tche.s".

Too many red flags.

Thanks for sharing, never seen before. I think buyers should beware:

- No eBay feedback;
- Watch will be sold outside eBay;
- Name and logo seems stolen from watchesofwales.co.uk;
- Other forums share deals that are too good to be true, like the following https://www.watchuseek.com/threads/was-this-limited-edition-vacheron-a-crazy-deal.551554
Yea there’s a reason why it’s here in its own thread and not in the recommended thread, the eBay account website and everything is a massive red flag but the watch photos are interesting, I’ve not actually seen the reference before or a gold bracelet on a panda dial previously in a reduced.

I’ll edit the title to reflect the dodgy account.

Additionally, the auction has a "7% discount" to celebrate their business being open 7 years, but the domain was only registered last month.

This is a scam. I'm reporting it now.

It's a legit reference. Everything about the watch looks spot on when I compare it to what I see on the Omega Extranet. Early versions would have been tritium dial and hands, and later versions luminova.

On the Omega Extranet, 3112.50.00 does come back as the watch in question. The case is a factory display back. The companies website has a bunch of watches that are priced lower than I would expect.

Looks like Al and I were looking up the watch at the same time and the Extranet.

Well it probably proves the old adage…..”If it seems too good to be true, it probably is”

The listing includes a link to the company’s website, where the watch is advertised at $7,999. Purports to have a physical/ boutique location in Portland.

That’s what I was hoping for, its always interesting seeing a piece like this that looks so interesting yet has very little information online, the only other mention of it was in a line on chronomaddox where he also mentions the same watch with an optional full diamond bezel from the factory.

I've been to Pioneer Place mall (where their address is from), I'm from the area (about an hour drive). That picture of the storefront is absolutely not there, and doesn't look like anything in the area. I have never heard of that company, but have been in the mall quite a few times, and I gotta think if they existed for a few years, a few of us in the PDX area would have shopped there.

Phone number area code is not in Oregon.
435 area code is for Utah, which is the location given in the eBay listing.

Whole thing smells funny to me.

They couldn't even keep the name of their fake store consistent.
"WATCH & JEWELRY" on the physical storefront, "WATCHES & JEWELRY" on the ebay page.

Thats actually not that crazy these days, 'small' garage businesses that grow to have a storefront will often just use the original owner's cell number as their business phone number, and having an 'out of town' cell number is really popular these days. I've seen more than a handful of businesses that were legitimate where the phone area code wasn't local for this reason.
