Ick. I hate when the SWISS MADE is above the minute second track when it's not supposed to be.

Beat me to the punchline, eh? :p

Good to know the Long Hands Squad is diligently seeking offenders/re-doers of the way Omega originally intended. Keep up the good work. I'll try my best to do mine:cool:

It's good to be with this forum. My untrained eye did not fall prey to the glitz & glitter of the unscrupulous or unaware ebay seller.;)

That whole watch is suspect. Not sure if dauphine hands were supposed to come on them although that might not be out of the question. Secondly, the movement has 2 different shades of copper plating. The least of what I saw quickly is the wrong crown - it should be serrated. I'd vote pass on the grounds of frankeness.

No need to even mention the "Chronometre"

Thank you! I knew there was something amiss with that dial but didn't study it long enough to spot that.

For my lesson today, please elaborate on "Chronometre". Inquiring minds, need and want to know...:D

That watch should have "CHRONOMETER". Somebody else can give you more detail, but in general the RE versions were certain earlier models from the 50's.
