Is $2225 a good deal for an Omega Seamaster 2599.80? I have pretty much decided that an Omega will be my first purchase but since I am new to the world of fine timepieces I have a lot to learn!

You can check sold listing on ebay to give you an idea of what you should be paying for one of these as well as looking at chrono 24. This is not a difficult watch to find so perhaps you should spend some time researching the watch model, looking at pictures to find out more about condition etc. You might find that you want a newer or older version after looking for a while. You can also check the FS section here and PM the seller directly if you find one you want.
