So $76,000 without a bezel, or bracelet. This is the amount the last good one sold at auction - I dont count the POS at Phillips last spring(?) for around $40k
For me it would take circa $8000+ to get straight with the bezel and bracelet, and service.

While there are not many of these about, I have now to observe that the black racing feels to have been more numerous on the market than the grey?

It also shows me that ebay can be and extremely effective outlet for these rare speedmasters. I guess we all still look.

Did I buy it? No....but I was close...but close is only good with hand-grenades.

I wonder where this watch will go next?

And I will put my hands up - I guessed the initial value way wrong at 20k on the poor photos and no extract. Though I did see a much higher value once we had better photos and paperwork.

Just shows what difference an extract and knowing the dial can make.
