But the description says it's 100% LEGIT, so that makes up for it......isn't there something odd about the bezel as well? The "60" especially seems to be cut off at the top. I see 1 bid already.
Cut off numerals are quite common, but the dial and description already tells me if I'd buy the seller..
well if the bezel is good and the case/movement are consistent, isn't it worth the initial bid value even with the dodgy dial? (Though the movement looks a bit grotty in the seller's pics)
Very strange to put so much effort into such a 'bollocks up'??? I'm so glad I stuck with you chaps'!... last year, before you guys educated me, I might well have compared my 105.012-65 to that '105.012-65 Omega Speedmaster Professional' and thought... "Oh no! That's what a real one looks like! My Dad has had a fake Omega for nearly 50 years!... I better see if I can get £25 for it down the pub???"
Don't be hasty. Your dad's old watch IS a bit of a mess - just look how the dial has faded. But I'll still give you at least £75 for it.
That seems fair enough??? I think that's almost as much as the old man paid for it back in the 1960's???
I contacted the seller. He said he'll cancel the sale and investigate further. I don't think he knew about the repainted dial...
Ebay seller finally contacted me and claimed he will notify winning buyer of dial issue and offer to cancel. Claims ebay fees are too high if he pulls listing.
