What is a "Francis?"

Francis is a character in the comedy movie "Stripes". To say he's uptight is an understatement. ("If touch my stuff I'll kill you... if you touch me I'll kill you...") The Drill Sgt just says "Oh lighten up, Francis!"

I said it in reference to a previous post in a not so clever attempt to be clever.

It's not really worth repeating, and sounds more silly repeated.

"Lighten up, Francis!" Would be a good tag line under an avatar if mods were still handing out tag lines.

Well, it was clever, but unfortunately I've never seen Stripes, and I have a tendency to glaze over youtube links. 😁

You need to lighten up and watch YouTube links.

During the initial outbreak in Wuhan, the virus and disease were commonly referred to as "coronavirus," "Wuhan Coronavirus," "the Coronavirus Outbreak" and the "Wuhan Coronavirus Outbreak," with the disease sometimes called "Wuhan Pneumonia." In January 2020, the WHO recommended 2019-nCoV and 2019-nCoV acute respiratory disease.

I appreciate the information.

I honestly don't care what people call it. l am heartbroken that worldwide 7,054,878 people died of Covid-19. Absolutely tragic.

Recently I was listing a watch that fascinated me with its case that was 1:1 to a C-Case

That "1:1" marked the listing as counterfeit 😁

doubtful that it was that high since it's well known there was over-counting going on ... now do the shot!

Right. It was the Ethiopian politician, WHO director Tedros Adhanom who proposed to change the name to COVID-19 after receiving money from President Xi. The Chinese government then saw the opportunity to blame the outbreak on the US. The spokespersons of the Chinese foreign ministry repeatedly suggested that it was the US athelets who spreaded the virus when they attended 2019 Military World Games held in Wuhan.

Nope well documented and cross checked really well. What is your problem with the cross check and transparency in that data collection?

which data set do you think is correct and which was incorrect?

did you do any predictive or verification modeling on the data?

would you like access to my code repo’s to cross check my data analysis and data verification algorithms used against multiple reported sources of Covid reporting data?

I don't disown the fact that I am choosing to post in this thread about something controversial and political, but I primarily come to Omega forums because it is one of the few spaces on the internet that's typically free of it.

But more important than it being free of it, most of the time members talk to each other here in a way that is reminiscent of a real public space, and quite unlike Reddit or Facebook or Twitter.

@RevZMan123 , lately it seems like most of your posts have had a sort of "everything is bad" bend to them. You have taken opportunities in many of your responses to insert negativity when it just wasn't necessary. You recently attacked the majority of the forum, something that you have neither walked back nor apologized for. You seem to have no issue making your quarrel with certain members obvious.

You really don't seem happy here, and seem intent in creating a "battlefield" that simply does not need to exist. But I don't remember this always being the case, so- are you ok? Is there something serious going on that feeds this? I mean this question genuinely, as direct as my above statements are.

Not sure how I "attacked the majority" of the forum ... Opinions expressed that are different from the majority are typically uncomfortable to hear. I'm sorry you feel that way. Funny you say that since it's easy for me to get attacked here -- just have a positive opinion of anything not left-leaning, so I'm not too concerned in that respect.

Astute observation really, Nope, not even close to being ok! Thanks for ... maybe? ... caring? Or whatever that was supposed to be.

I'll just take the site off my daily spin for a while -- PM me if needed. Not that I expect to hear from anyone.

I'm really sorry to hear this. And yes, it was caring. Not trying to understand what motivates your frustration would have been much easier, and probably the less risky post.

I really hope things get more positive for you, Erric. It's not fun when the whole world seems dark.

This helped after I moved from the East Coast to the West Coast.
