These things are cool, but I haven't got much interest in the mission-patch Speedmasters. These also have been selling recently for 100 - 150k so I think the price might be a bit optimistic here...

A suitcase full of almost identical modern Speedmasters......I see neither the charm nor the value

That case has been on Ebay forever. Last one sold for $53k hammer price at the Christies auction in December. There are $60k USD worth of watches in that case so if you can get it for less than that, you did ok, assuming you want all those mission watches. The only two in there that are really cool are the Apollo XI, and Apollo XIII. The rest, meh.

You know I think that's the one that was listed for $150k lol. Guess it didn't actually sell.

And totally agree with @cristos71 , one modern Speedmaster might make a good beater but a suitcase full of them doesn't interest me much.

I would buy it, but I don't know if my family of 5 could live in that case.

Hasn't this one been one sale for years? Didn't it start at something silly like 800k?

All I will say is, if someone put a gun to my head and ordered me to spend cca $50k on watches on ebay, I'd much rather blow it on a suitcase full of omegas than a one single patek/rolex/vc/whatnot. (Insert whatever smiley you choose here ::facepalm2:: ::shy::)

I agree it is absurd but in reality most non-watch people look at most collections as a bunch of very similar things and don't "get it" so this is just an extreme example.

Each one has a mission patch on the dial. I've seen one of these super impressive. Expensive but for a speedy collector pretty close to the holy grail. image.jpeg
