Year is still early, but squirrel celebration chugs along........ I noticed many new timepieces acquisition sprang in our forum. The squirrels have been busy.
    The same here........

The first incoming was from Italian squirrel........he helped me taking a time piece from my wish list offered by a respectable member here. The squirrel cleverly squirming and dodging against unfavorable odds of Italian courier, Fedex and Indonesian customs.... and delivering this near mint time piece to my home. Score !!!!
It is a MD 145.034....a more uncommon option of early 70's Speedmaster Mark 2 with gold plated case, dial and bracelet. Maroon/ burgundy bezel fit nicely to the overall package. Cal 861 movement is a reliable workhorse work smoothly. I really adore it. However it will seldom have my wrist time due to its 'bling-bling' appearance.

The second incoming was from local squirrel...... he bit me when a FS advertisment pop up in local WIS mailing list. Not exactly a vintage but reissue of a very highly sought vintage timepiece. Priced at an offer that I can not refuse, the squirrel serenely deliver the package in a cafe from a young chap which maintain his watch very carefully.
It is a Speedmaster Professional Broad Arrow reissue (sometimes also called replica ::facepalm2::) 3594.50 in bracelet complete with box and papers. A nice addition to my Speedmaster collection.

So I sang together with the squirrel Band this early year......Oh yeah baby......

    Cheers,

Nice! Love the Replica except for the name. Sadly for me it was the one that made 5 trips for repair under warranty. I barely got to enjoy it, and sold it after the fifth try :(

Haven't had a contemporary piece since!

Nice. Not a fan of the Mark 2 but no one can complain about the condition. Love the Replica. At least now you know the buying hiatus did not do you any good. :p

Uh..oh... that's an awful experience of getting lemon product.
Mine was sold in 2003 (last year of production) and the warranty card has not been filled, meaning the watch never goes to service center. Hopefully it is not a lemon.....

I'm pretty sure the Craplica, err ahem, Replica I had was the exception not the rule. Ironically I purchased it so I could enjoy an Omega chrono while I had my Broad Arrow repaired again (my OTHER exception!)
I'll stick to the 321 thank you!

Keep on scoring, since your 'fasting' period is over, I reckon.

    Thank-you.
