    Hi all!
I have som questions regarding a watch i bought a while back.
So I hope you guys can help me :)

The serial number dates the watch to the late 20's/early 30's and the case measures ca. 32mm. The movement looks to be a "1. gen." 26.5 SOB. Is that correct?

The case isnt marked/made by Dennison. Did Omega make the silver cases themselves? And why are the case and caseback marked with the same number (490 in this case)? Ive seen simliar markings on Longines.

Ive have no reason to think this is a redial. What do you think?
Does the lume look to be radium or is it relumed at a later point?

The watch will be sent for some TLC this week :)

Dennison was located in England. The case lacks the stampings typically found in an English product. This case bears the typical Swiss standard mark for a Swiss made sterling case. The number 490 on both the bezel and case back were likely placed there to keep the two components together during production. Precious metal items originating in Switzerland typically have a ‘responsibility mark” stamped into the case back which might help identify the manufacturer. I don’t see a mark that I recognize as one of these marks.

It is a 26,5, probably a T1 considering the serial number of the movement. Check under the balance to be sure.

The crescent moon and crown is a German hallmark.

By the way, your movement is actually a t1, a t1 SOB - there are also 26,5 t2 SOB. SOB means :
S: savonnette (French wording for hunter, meaning the crown is at 3 and not at 12
O: original thickness, and not P ("plat" = flat)
    B: Base quality

I like that dial a lot; has just the right amount of patina . The lume appears to be the original radium. Don’t let the ‘TLC’ mess with that dial (or case for that matter)!!

Nope, it will only be a check up of the movement :)
