    Hi All

I just bought my first Omega, a Seamaster Pro Quartz Bond model, after getting a good price (I think??? - $520). The exterior checked out as genuine after comparing it to all the signs on the net to spot a fake. Today however, I took it to a watchmaker to confirm and he opened it up and confirmed it was genuine but said it had a 1438 movement. These also appeared in the pre-Bond models and a lot of sites say the SMP 300 has the 1538.

I have found a few examples of a SMP 300 (Model 2541.80) with the 1438 but just wanted to make sure it's okay and hasn't been swapped out. Its serial number begins 544... which indicates an early model (1993-94) and so maybe the 1538 was introduced later.

    Any input would oblige.

    Thanks
