    Hello all.

What do the experts think of the below?

Is this a pie pan deluxe with a printed logo rather than the attached one, or is the light playing tricks on me? I'm afraid I haven't enough experience to tell.

What's the going price for one of these? Don't think I can afford it whatever it is!

    Thanks in advance!

Dial looks original - the word "omega" is printed in the cal. 354 (bumper) version of the watch. Case has been polished and to my eyes is right at the border of being too polished. Crown is an incorrect later replacement. Will want to see movement and caseback pictures but the range for this in YG is $3-4k with the original examples in excellent condition at the higher end.

The 2699 is the printed OMEGA, the 2700 is the applied metal OMEGA. Both use the 354 chronometer bumper.

As Mike says above, the case has been overly polished and the crown is not correct. That particular watch won't fetch top dollar ($4200 in mint perfect original maybe), but might grab $2800 - $3300 depending on how inexperienced the bidders and how bad somebody wants it.

Thank you both for the quick replies. I thought it could be a 354 and I'd noticed it was a bit overpolished. Perhaps I'm learning something!

I've asked for additional photos and will let you know what I get.

    Thanks again.

Got these through today. What do you think?

No shots of the movement unfortunately.

    Thanks for your opinions.

Everything I see in the pictures looks OK to me. The weakness in the printing on the dial could just be a cloudy crystal. No way to tell from the photos. Crown doesn't look right, but that's an easy fix.

Before I spent my money on a watch like that, I'd insist upon movement photos, to at least make sure it is a correct cal. 354 or 352.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello all,

For those interested this watch went for just over £1300, about $2000.

I decided not to bid but thought others might be interested in the price it went for.

Thanks - I noticed that. I thought the price wasn't too bad. Wonder who snagged it?

That price is a steal - even without movement pictures worth at least $3000 (in some cases with better pictures over $3500) especially since it is the more desirable (for me at least) screwback case. Would have tried to buy it without hesitation at that price.

100% agreement! Crack that puppy open and if the movement is in half decent shape you did VERY well.

Sorry Dennis it wasn't me that got the watch unfortunately. A lack of cash and an excess of caution got the better of me. When I saw how much it went for though I wished I'd stretched to it. Could have kicked myself!
