Early Christmas for The Mrs...

So, I planned my wife's Christmas present perfectly. The AD had the watch in stock on the wrong bracelet, so that was changed. The watch was reserved for me and put in the safe (no deposit) until I could get there. I booked us a weekend away to eat, drink and Christmas shop. I sneaked off and collected the watch over a little bubbly and the AD sized and wrapped it for me. I hid it in the hotel safe, got it home and hid it in my safe 'till the big day. Perfect!

Now, we've always taught our eight year old not to lie. Last Sunday, over dinner in a restaurant, my wife jokingly asked which watch I was getting her for Christmas. When I replied that she must be joking my daughter piped up with "But Daddy, we bought her that Rolex she wanted"........

Oh well!











It's a stunning watch in the metal, and the clasp is a work of art. It is keeping perfect time. Perfect, over the last week with a combination of wear and sitting on the winder. I just had to add one link back in as we got it a little wrong at the AD.

i am fairly sure my wife would love that dial as well... but due to budget restraints she bravely wears a 1977 mil issued 33mm hamilton ;o)

Its funny that women dont have funds for a decent watch but theres always enough for shoes and hand bags haha

Never seen that dial before, it is amazing! I'm sure it's much better in person and on wrist too.
