For sale today is an early 50's Hamilton Fleetwood manual wind. There is a service engraving on the back with the year 1954. I have not been able to open the watch and do not want to scratch it. It should contain a grade 748 Hamilton movement, 18 jewels adjusted. The sale is for watch head only. Case: In nice vintage condition, only lightly polished. Approx 32mm w/out crown. I have not cleaned it and would benefit from a good scrub as there is some detritus present. Dial: In excellent condition with light patina. Any marks in pics are from the crystal. Dial is made of sterling silver with 14k gold applied markers. I'm not a Hamilton expert but under a loupe the script and other markings are raised ink and precise so I believe it is original. Opinions are welcome. Hands: 18k gold original hands. Crown: From my research appears original to watch. Crystal: Thick domed crystal, not sure if original. Some scratches present. Please see all pictures as they are integral to the description. Service history is unknown therefore one is highly recommended. Currently the watch winds smoothly, ticks, and keeps time. I have one sale reference from OF so far and 100% feedback on Ebay for years, PM for details. I normally do not accept returns unless the watch is not as described. In this case, because I do not have movement pictures, if the buyer reports back to me that there is something significantly wrong with the movement such as significant corrosion etc, within 5 days of receipt of watch I will accept a return. Price is $350 net to my PayPal, free shipping CONUS. International at buyer's expense. Thank you OF for the space.
the proverbial gold retirement watch. One wonders how it came to market. This is something I'd never let leave the family. Nice piece.
